Walking for Health
Getting fitter in Sparkbrook

Jane Ellison MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Public Health, was present to present SRRA a certificate for our participation in encouraging walking in Sparkbrook. Also present was Mohammed Ashfaq, from KIKIT.

Gareth from Living Streets came along with family to help us on our first led walk. Young and elder were present and we also gave out bottles of water. We hope to run more in the future.

We are now trained walk leaders! Members from SRRA went on a training course which highlighted how to run a walk. We learnt about first aid, health and safety and so on. Thanks to the Health Exchange for organising this.
